Desk-based assessments These reports are often necessary for planning and development purposes, and can be carried out speedily by Cameron Archaeology staff.
Written schemes of Investigation (WSIs) These reports will provide a written scheme for the archaeological work that is necessary on a site. Cameron Archaeology staff liaise between planning archaeologists and clients, and work with clients to smooth the process of purifying archaeological conditions on planning applications.
Cameron Archaeology has many years experience of carrying out watching briefs of all sizes, and of liaising between clients and planning archaeologists.
Walkover surveys Large or small areas may require a walk-over survey to determine the presence of archaeological features. Cameron Archaeology can carry out these surveys and provide management advice to clients.
Evaluations Following a desk-based assessment or WSI, an evaluation of a site can be carried out. Reports are produced soon after fieldwork to allow developments to progress.
Excavations Cameron Archaeology is very experienced in carrying out small and large excavations if this proves necessary following an evaluation or watching brief.
Building surveys These are often required before demolition or redevelopment of a building. Cameron Archaeology can carry out all types of survey.
Post-excavation Cameron Archaeology prepares Post-Excavation Research Designs(PERDs) and carries out necessary post-excavation work to allow for purification of archaeology conditions.
Talks Cameron Archaeology can visit your Rotary Club or other group to talk about the archaeology of a particular site or the archaeology of Aberdeen in general.
